Non-fiction. I read this to catch up with a month I had to miss at my local library's non-fiction book club, they read it for August 2013. A truly eye-opening book. I cannot believe how much I did not know about where my food comes from or why things are "more expensive" but really are not when you realize the hidden costs and poisons in most supermarket foods compared to the farmer's market/buying local. I think everybody should read this book, I 100% recommend it to all.
