Message: technology keeps developing and making things that simultaneously help and harm us, depending on who is using it. I saw many people on Goodreads asking if they should skip this book, and I agree with those who said don't, you really do need to read this portion of the story. This is where you find out a bit of the "why" and "how" of what has happened to the world.
