A really interesting read about two weeks in Chicago during the summer of 1919. It shows how much the city and the country were in flux, with a blimp crash, race riots, corrupt politics, the death of a child, labor unions riots, and more. If you are interested in the history of Chicago, or any of the above listed issues, I would highly recommend this book. It is a great work of narrative non-fiction.
And so it goes...
